On February 10, the award ceremony of“2022 Influential Zhejiang Merchants”was held in Hangzhou.Xie Rudong,aZUFE alumnuswhomajored in Computer Science and Technology,graduated in 2005, andisnow Chairman of Hangzhou Yowant Network Technology Co., Ltd.,won the title of“2022 Influential Zhejiang Merchants.”
While the award-winning enterprises include traditional industries such as industry, food,and manufacturing, live streaming e-commerce, represented by Xie Rudong, the only awardedmember of thepost-80sgeneration, is an emerging industry.He is also the first Zhejiang businessman in the live streaming e-commerce industry to receive this award.
These years have witnessed the vigorous development of the digital economy in which live streaming e-commerce plays an important role and has already become one of the core consumption channels inthee-commerce industry as well as one of the greatest variables in the consumer industry.In 2022, Yowant Technology became the first and the only enterprise in the industry to complete the overall layout in Douyin, Kuaishou,and Taobao, three well-known live streaming e-commerce platforms.In addition to multi-platform operations, the companyisalso equipped with multi-level matrix marketing,“celebrity+IP”mode, supply chain,and Yowant cloud system.Additionally, as a comprehensive technology enterprise with live streaming as its core, Yowant Technology is continuously empowering the traditional economy with its own“technology”genes and by digital and standardized capability, multi-level matrix marketing with artists, talent,and streamers,as well as its supply chain.
Xie Rudong, who graduated from ZUFE in 2005, founded Hangzhou Juejin Network Information Technology Co., Ltd. the same year.In 2009, he founded 46.com,and in 2010 it was acquired by Shanda Bianfeng Group.The same year, he founded Hangzhou Yowant Network Technology Co., Ltd.In 2011, he co-established the Shangrao Information Industry Park andhasremained invested.In 2016, he became a part-time EMBA student at the Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business.In 2018, he led the company into the field of live streaming e-commerce,and the companyrapidly grew into a leading MCN organization in the industry. In December, he was awarded the title of“14th Hangzhou Excellent Entrepreneur”and“National Excellent Entrepreneur in Electronic Information Industry.”In March 2019, he was honored as the senior talentforthe“2018 Leading Cultural and Creative Award”of Yuhang District.He was elected as a representative of the 16th People’s Congress of Yuhang District in May 2021, and was awarded the“2021 New Front-Runner of Zhejiang Merchants”the same year.In April 2022, he became Chairman and CEO of Yowant Technology. He appearedin the special issue Person of the Year of 2022inGQmagazinein December 2022.
