Recently, the final of the 8th China International College Students“Internet+”Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (CII+CSIEC)concluded. Through a hard-fought competition, four projects of ZUFE won one Gold Award and three Silver Awards, making ZUFE No.1 among financial colleges and universities nationwide in the number of awards and achieving a groundbreaking success in this event.
Among the four projectsinthe main higher education track, theSmart Button for Future:The First Digital Button Design and Development Service Provider in Chinafromthe School of Accounting won the Gold Award of the Undergraduate Group in the Creative Project Category;Betweenand:the First Creative Element Incubator for Z-Generation China-Chic Clothingfromthe School of Arts andHuamao Intelligence:the Subverter of Safety Monitoring Technology of Energy Pipelinesfromthe School of Finance and the School of Information Management and Artificial Intelligence won the Silver Award of the Undergraduate Group in the Emerging Project Category;andBe Your Eyes:“4+X”New Model Boots Rural Educationwon the Silver Award of the International Recommended Project.
Since the launch of the event in October last year, our administrators have visited the teams and teachers many times during the period of project exploration, summer training, provincial competition preparation,and national competition project improvement. They encouraged teams to dare to venture,and beable to create as well as to scale new heights in entrepreneurship and innovation, so as to present their demeanor and strength as students of ZUFE.
ZUFE has always attached great importance to the organization and project development of the“Internet+”competitions and has implemented incentive measures for high-level competitions of entrepreneurship and innovation, forming a system for entrepreneurship and innovation competitions with the purpose of motivating students to“dare to venture and able to create.”A total of 3,765 ZUFE students participated in the preliminary round, andeightpromotional lectures as well as several rounds of preparation training were held with 14,411 participants.Through various forms of selection including text review and on-site defense, 24 projects (includingsixprojectsin theinternational track) were recommended to participate in the online evaluation of the provincial semi-final. At last,sevenprojects were selected for the finals.Through intense competition, ZUFE won three gold medals and four silver medals, making a historic breakthroughatthe provincial level. In addition, it won the Excellent Organization Award and the University Collective Award.During the national competition preparation, ZUFE wellmanaged activities of specialized training, expert guidance, preparation training and defense simulation. With greatly improved projects and roadshow defense, four projects were selected for the on-site competition final.
This event, organized by Chongqing University, is jointly hosted by the Ministry of Education and 11 other central governmental agencies and local provincial governments.The competition was launched in April and more than 14.5 million students with over 3.4 million projects from 111 countries and regions had taken part in. 330 projects received Gold Awards in the final. It truly covered a wide range of countries, colleges and students, becoming the largest youth entrepreneurship event in the world and the highest-level and most competitive college student competition. The performance of the event has been included in the discipline evaluation and double first-class indicator system.
